HOW DO I....
OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?
Repeat prescriptions
will be issued at the doctor's discretion and are normally for patients on long
term treatment. Request for repeat prescriptions can be made by telephoning 810789.
For patients' convenience this telephone is connected to an answerphone system
24 hours per day.
Two working days' notice should be given to allow for
processing repeat prescriptions. If possible the patient's computer reference
number should be given and items requested clearly stated. Please also indicate
your preferred collection point.
Prescription requests can be left at the
Dispensary in Preesall or handed in to either of the local chemists' shops by
handing in the patient's computer slip with the items requested clearly marked.
Dispensing
The Over Wyre Medical Centre is a dispensing practice
and dispensing patients (ie those who live more than one mile from a chemist shop)
can pick up their repeat medication after 2.00pm on the day promised, or anytime
thereafter during opening hours. The dispensary opening hours are 8.30am to 6.30pm. Medication can also be picked up from Hambleton
surgery by arrangement.
We are also able to offer a home delivery service
for patients who are unable, through age and/or infirmity, to collect their medication.
